Father Paul Hruby was born in Los Angeles on January 4, 1956, the third of five siblings. He grew up in Glendale, attending Holy Family elementary school. Having attended all three Archdiocesan seminaries, he was ordained on June 19, 1982, and served as an associate pastor first at Saint Marianne in Pico Rivera and then at Saint Elizabeth in Van Nuys.
In 1990 he became an administrator and shortly thereafter pastor of Saint Elisabeth in Van Nuys. In the late 90's he was asked to minister to other priests, namely the newly ordained and retired priests of the Archdiocese. This he fulfilled while working in the office of the Vicar for Clergy. In 1999, he was named pastor of Incarnation Church in Glendale where he had been baptized, and there he spent 11 years and saw the parish grow by 900 households during his pastorate.
On July 1, Father Paul as appointed pastor of Saint Julie's. Father Paul has also served as a member of the Archdiocesan Spirituality omission and the Archdiocesan Building Commission.
