We recently completed Phase I of the Parish Hall renovation. All are invited for donuts and a peak at the hall on Sunday, October 10th from 9 – 12:30.
As previously mentioned, the renovation work was prompted by a pipe leak in the wall near the kitchen. An insurance claim was filed since the leak resulted in damage to the wall and flooring outside of the kitchen. Insurance would pay for the replacement of the damaged tiles however due to the age of the flooring they were unable to find a match, therefore we received a credit of $30,280 to replace the flooring. We took this opportunity to upgrade the flooring material and to also, replace the flooring in the areas not covered by insurance.
As part of this Phase I of the renovation we completed, painting the ceiling & walls in the hall, the classrooms, replaced the carpet in Room 1 (old altar area), removed the moveable wall in Room 1, installed LED lighting in the main hall area and added air purifiers plus hand sanitizers in the classrooms. The cost for this project is as follows:
We look forward to seeing you this Sunday in the hall.
