We are excited to begin a new practice of wearing name tags to Mass and parish events. Name tags allow us to greet each other by name, creating a more friendly and welcoming community. Wearing a name tag can help foster a sense of belonging. It’s easier to connect with new people or finally put a face to a name!
For our newcomers, seeing a name tag encourages them to approach others. It makes our space more inviting, especially for people who might otherwise feel hesitant to interact.
As we embrace this new practice, let us also be reminded of the words of Isaiah, But now, this is what the Lord says—he who created you, Jacob, he who formed you, Israel: ‘Do not fear, for I have redeemed you; I have summoned you by name; you are mine.’
Just as God knows and calls each of us by name, let’s get to know each other’s names. Wear a name tag to Mass and at all parish events.
You are more than welcome to wear a name tag from work or another organization. Or you can get your own official St. Julie’s name tag. Kids can have their own too!
How It Works:
· Stop by the office to provide us with the exact name for the tag. You can do first name only or both first and last.
· We will order in batches and call you when you it’s ready for pick.
· Come back when it’s ready and pay for your tag then. Each tag is $12.00.
· Then start wearing it every time you’re at church.
