The post-Thanksgiving buying sprees of Black Friday and Small-Business Saturday are countered by a special day known as GivingTuesday, a charitable counterpart to the shopping events.
It's Time To Give
Giving Tuesday is a global day of giving, celebrated at the beginning of December each year. It’s a day when people from all walks of life come together and give back—not just through donations but also through service, volunteering and good old-fashioned acts of kindness.
Giving Tuesday brings together the collective power of a unique blend of partners — nonprofits, civic organizations, businesses and corporations, as well as families and individuals—to encourage and amplify small acts of kindness, little gestures of love that Pope Francis encourages.
It’s a simple idea. Join the celebration of a new tradition of generosity. #GivingTuesday kicks off the charitable season when many think about end-of-year giving. On Giving Tuesday, we are asking parishioners, friends and neighbors of St. Julie Billiart to consider helping support St. Julie’s Legacy Project as part of their generosity in the Giving Tuesday movement.
St. Julie’s Giving Hearts
St. Julie’s Legacy is a parish of giving hearts that has supported local, state, and worldwide missionary work for over 4 decades. From our neighbors here in the city, the homeless to missions in Mexican and Africa, we have shared prayers, works, and donations with the joy-filled generosity.
The Mission of Christ
The Legacy Project will maintain and enhance the church exterior. Generations will have a place to continue the mission of Jesus Christ.
Giving Tuesday is a wonderful way to celebrate the holidays and to give back to your local communities. Please donate if you can. We also encourage acts of kindness or volunteer on Giving Tuesday, Thank you!
