The Divine Mercy Ministry at St Julie's Church is based upon
the apparations that Sr. Faustina of Krakow, Poland had with Jesus Christ in 1931-35. The messages continually stressed the complete trust in the Lord.
The devotion includes the Image she saw, the celebration of Divine Mercy Sunday, the Hour of Great Mercy, the Novena and the Chaplet.. On March 7, 1992, St. Faustina's virtues were declared heroic: on December 21, 1992. a healing through St. Faustina intercession was declared a miracle by Pope John Paul on April 18, 1993. The Pope had the honor to declare the Venerable Servant of God Sister Faustina Blessed: and on April 30, 2000, Pope John Paul II canonized her as the first saint of the Great Jubillee Year and also called for a celebration of the second Sunday of Easter as Divine Mercy Sunday throughout the Church.
